HOW THE PROCESS WORKS:

All visits via phone or Telehealth (video) - in-person visits upon request

STEP 1: Initial Consult - 60-90 min

During your initial consultation, we will review your history and deeply investigate your symptoms. If applicable, we will share the results of your online Nutritional Assessment Questionnaire (NAQ). Together we will design a customized program that fits into your lifestyle and budget that includes relevant recommendations to get you started on your wellness goals. We may discuss potential functional lab tests that can give us more in-depth information identifying health problems early on. You may be asked to complete a 3-day food journal. Please check your email for your initial consultation instructions and access to the NAQ.

STEP 2:  Follow-up visit 30-60 min

We will review your current plan and progress and discuss your remaining symptoms and goals. We will collaborate to adjust your program, adding or removing lifestyle behaviors, including diet changes, nutritional supplements, exercise, lifestyle, and stress response strategies. We may discuss specific lab tests to consider to give us more in-depth information about your presentation. If you already ordered lab tests, we will review your results and adjust your program as needed. You may be asked to complete a 3-day food journal.

STEP 3:  continued care visits 30-60 min

You may be asked to re-take the online Nutritional Assessment Questionnaire (NAQ) one week before this appointment. It’s quite revealing to see this analysis's before and after results! We adjust your plan based on your current presentation and remaining goals. An ongoing wellness program will be designed for you as you continue your journey. You should see this truly as a partnership devoted to your health.

Continued care visits are scheduled to monitor and fine-tune your progress. Keep in mind you are establishing a partnership for your personalized wellness. As needed, schedule an appointment to ensure your journey never ends. It is recommended to have your ongoing wellness program updated every six months. As you learn about your wellness and what makes you feel good and bad, the need for follow-up visits will decrease.

Know you have a partnership you can count on when you need guidance for something new or slip back into old symptoms.

What should I do if I am struggling to stick with my program? We understand that prioritizing a wellness plan often requires major life changes and can be challenging. Our advice is to start with what feels the most reasonable and take one day at a time. We can help you prioritize what to start with first. Keeping a health journal can allow you to stay on track and show the progression you’ve made when you need some inspiration. We can also discuss what metrics will be valuable for you to track to stay motivated. What you track, improves, and noticing improvements will be motivating. You will start to understand exactly what results you will experience from your lifestyle choices. For example, You are out with friends, and pizza and beer sound so good. Your experience during your new program will uncover explanations for your symptoms such as bloating, gas, and swollen hands in the morning. If you choose to indulge, you can do so, enjoy it, and your symptoms are easily explained. Nothing is more powerful than deciding if you want to eat or drink something, knowing how you will react to it. You will also learn what to do about those symptoms when this happens.
